Job summary

Historic Tours of America is seeking a Service & Sales Representative for the Old Town Trolley Tours in St. Augustine. You will be the face of OTT-St Aug, guiding guests, selling tickets, and keeping tours on schedule with professionalism, safety, and a fun attitude.

Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about customer service, with strong English communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Benefits include paid training, health plans, and 401K options.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Outgoing and enjoy working with the public.
• Customer Service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hand out brochures, collect ticket stubs from our guests, and apply a date stamp or direct guests to the ticket booths.
• Gather ticket stubs and e-tickets to be redeemed by the Sales Representative.
• Be knowledgeable of our products and pricing. Know the most popular things to do at each stop.
• Utilize exceptional sales skills including a strong pitch, handling objections, cross-selling, upselling, and closing the deal.
• Present the cost of tours and attractions based on the company’s pricing system.

Position Purpose

The Service & Sales Representative is the face of Old Town Trolley Tours® of St Augustine (OTT‑St Aug). The Service & Sales Representative is to give accurate information and guide customers to OTT‑St Aug. The Service & Sales Representative will control the guest lines and organize tour departures to ensure tours stay on schedule and sell tickets to those in line who do not already have them. The customer’s first impression should be that we are professionals, and our company has integrity, is safe, and is fun. Customers judge our company by the way you do your job.

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Ability to work independently over long periods of time within the scope of established rules and regulations.
• Ability to work with a diverse CAST and the general public equally.
• Ability to deal with unpleasant, angry, or discourteous people in a pleasant, calm, courteous manner.
• Ability to read, write and speak clear English in order to communicate with co-workers and the general public.
• Ability to learn new duties, policies and procedures and adjust to new situations encountered on the job within a reasonable amount of time.
