Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking a friendly Service Route Driver for a full-time role, Monday through Friday from 4:00am to 12:00pm. No weekends.

The position involves loading the company vehicle, delivering products to client locations, stocking shelves, and maintaining refrigeration and inventory at accounts. The ideal candidate will have a valid non-CDL license, be at least 21, pass the DOT physical, lift up to 50 pounds, and provide excellent customer service while promoting AVI products.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL not required) with a good driving record.
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Outgoing personality with product promotion skills.
• Excellent organization and time management abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively to customers and AVI team members.

Responsibilities

• Load the company vehicle with products needed to service locations.
• Drive to client locations and transport products and food.
• Deliver, load, and unload products as requested.
• Stock products on shelves or racks in vending machines or coolers.
• Ensure refrigeration for all cold food products in the truck and at accounts.
• Oversee ordering and inventory control of merchandise.
• Collect unsold and stale merchandise, and collect money from machines.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure the company vehicle is properly loaded with all products needed to service locations
• Drive a vehicle to transport products and food to client locations
• Deliver, load, and unload products and food as requested
• Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines or coolers
• Ensure the refrigeration of all cold food products in the truck and at accounts
• Oversee the ordering of merchandise and control inventory
• Collect unsold and stale merchandise
• Collect money, including coins and bills, from machines
• Communicate positively with customers by making eye contact and smiling
• Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines at accounts
• Manage the care of the company vehicle

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle
• Valid driver’s license (a CDL is NOT required) and a good driving record
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
