Labcorp in Weslaco, TX is seeking a Courier to join our team. You will load supplies, perform daily pickups, and deliver specimens to the branch while following safety and vehicle operation protocols. The role supports our lab operations with reliable, timely service.

The position requires 2+ years in courier roles within medical contexts and experience handling lab specimens or supporting hospital/lab operations. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.

• 2+ years using handheld delivery‑management devices or route optimization tools such as scanners or GPS routing.

Responsabilidades

• Load all necessary supplies for daily pickups.
• Complete daily pickup schedule in a timely manner.
• Deliver daily picks to branch at end of shift.
• Handle specimens and lab samples safely and efficiently.
• Safely operate a company vehicle and obey traffic laws.
• Use handheld device to manage daily pickups and updates.
• Coordinate with dispatcher for additional pickups as needed.
• Assess traffic patterns, alternate routes, and weather conditions.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 11:30am-8:00pm, and rotating Saturdays; additional days and hours may be required

Job Responsibilities

• Load all necessary suppliers needed for the daily pickups
• Complete daily pick-up schedule in a timely manner
• Deliver all daily picks to your branch at the end of your shift
• Handle all specimens and lab samples in a safe and efficient manner
• Safely operate a company vehicle and obey all traffic laws
• Utilize handheld electronic device to manage daily picks up
• Work directly with the dispatcher for additional pick-ups as needed
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• No education or experience required

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 or more years of professional courier or route‑based delivery experience within a medical or laboratory company.
• 1 or more years of experience handling medical specimens or supporting hospital / laboratory operations
• 2 or more years of experience using handheld delivery‑management devices or route optimization tools, such as scanners, GPS‑based routing software, or dispatch applications

Additional Job Standards

• Very punctual with strong time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to problem solve customer issues
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Be at least 21 years of age
• All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
