Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a dedicated Courier to join our Tucson, AZ team. You will pick up and deliver medical specimens and lab supplies, operating a company vehicle while adhering to safety and routing procedures.

The role requires punctuality, attention to detail, and good problem-solving for client needs. Preferred candidates have 2+ years of courier experience within a medical or laboratory setting and familiarity with handheld devices or route optimization tools.

Qualifications

• No education or experience required.
• 2+ years courier or route-based delivery preferred.
• 1+ year handling medical specimens or supporting lab operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load all necessary supplies for daily pickups.
• Complete daily pickup schedule in a timely manner.
• Deliver daily picks to the branch at end of shift.
• Handle specimens and lab samples safely and efficiently.
• Safely operate a company vehicle and obey traffic laws.
• Use handheld device to manage daily pickups.
• Coordinate with dispatcher for additional pickups as needed.
• Assess traffic, routes and weather conditions.

Job Responsibilities

• Load all necessary suppliers needed for the daily pickups
• Complete daily pick-up schedule in a timely manner
• Deliver all daily picks to your branch at the end of your shift
• Handle all specimens and lab samples in a safe and efficient manner
• Safely operate a company vehicle and obey all traffic laws
• Utilize handheld electronic device to manage daily picks up
• Work directly with the dispatcher for additional pick-ups as needed
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• No education or experience required

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 or more years of professional courier or route‑based delivery experience within a medical or laboratory company.
• 1 or more years of experience handling medical specimens or supporting hospital / laboratory operations
• 2 or more years of experience using handheld delivery‑management devices or route optimization tools, such as scanners, GPS‑based routing software, or dispatch applications

Additional Job Standards

• Very punctual with strong time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to problem solve customer issues
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Be at least 21 years of age

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

In this position, you will be responsible for the pickup, transport, and delivery of medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports, while providing excellent service to our clients. Included with this position is a company vehicle to use for the route. In addition, for only $125 per month, you will have the option of taking this vehicle home with you and using it for personal use.

• Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
