Job summary

Labcorp in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to oversee the logistics team and optimize courier routes. The role focuses on performance management, staffing the routes, and coordinating with external vendors to ensure seamless operations.

The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of courier and supervisory experience, preferably within Labcorp or a laboratory setting, and strong MS Office skills. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred.
• 3+ years of medical courier experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory or team lead experience.
• 3+ years of route-based delivery experience, ideally in a medical or laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the logistics team.
• Manage courier performance using established metrics.
• Implement and review courier routes and schedules to increase efficiencies.
• Ensure department is properly staffed to cover all routes.
• Establish relationships with outside logistics vendors for coverage.
• Generate and review daily/weekly reports and escalate issues to leadership.
• Coach direct reports and provide development feedback.
• Address and resolve internal and external client issues.
• Maintain department spend and budget allocation.
• Manage and maintain branch vehicles according to corporate standards.
• Engage in continuous process and service level improvements.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00am – 6:30pm

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise the day to day operations of the logistics team
• Manage the performance of all couriers using established performance metrics
• Implement and review courier routes and schedules to increase efficiencies
• Ensure department is properly staffed with the ability to cover all necessary routes
• Establish relationships with outside logistics vendors to obtain coverage when needed
• Generate and review daily/weekly reports and elevate any issues to leadership
• Ensure entire logistics staff is properly trained and any performance issues are addressed
• Meet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback for their development
• Address and resolve both internal and external client issues
• Maintain and monitor department spend to ensure proper budget allocation
• Manage and maintain branch vehicles according to Corporate Fleet standards
• Engage in continuous process and service level improvements
• Responsible for administering and managing policies and procedures
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Current or Prior Labcorp experience
• Associates degree
• 3 years or more experience as a medical courier
• 3 years or more experience as a supervisor or team lead
• 3 or more years of professional courier or route‑based delivery experience, ideally within a medical or laboratory company.

• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Be at least 21 years’ old
