Job summary

Polk Mechanical Company LLC in Grand Prairie, TX seeks a Service Manager - Special Projects to lead service project direction, develop estimates, procure equipment, monitor costs, and maintain billing and schedules.

You will partner with the Superintendent on daily site activities, build long-term customer relationships, and provide leadership to field teams to ensure high satisfaction and future work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; mechanical engineering degree is a plus.
• Experience in service plumbing, HVAC service, and installation preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and customer-relations skills.
• Ability to develop accurate job estimates and monitor costs.
• Experience with project scheduling and field team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates for service projects and larger service repairs.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Review and verify cost entries in the job cost system.
• Conduct pre-job planning and keep project schedules current.
• Monitor manning levels and visit sites for progress checks.
• Process change orders and progress billings; ensure payments.
• Provide leadership to field teams and maintain customer communication.
