Job summary

Cavender Auto Country-Chevy; Buick; GMC is hiring a Part-time Service Porter to join our team and help "Make Confidence Happen". You will greet customers on the service drive, direct traffic, and move vehicles from service to parking areas, while keeping the drive-area clean and organized.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and a positive, customer-focused attitude. Prior service department exposure is a plus; we offer a supportive environment with growth

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and successful background/drug checks.
• Enthusiastic, motivated with strong communication and customer service skills.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the service drive and assist in directing traffic.
• Stage vehicles and prepare them for service and parking.
• Keep the service drive clean and organized; assist the service team as needed.
• Record inventory, park cars, and manage keys.
• Wash and dry vehicles; clean interior and windows.
• Inspect finished work and maintain the drive area.

Here is what you will be doing:

• From staging vehicles to greeting customers, this role is essential to the function of the dealership
• Greeting customers as they enter our service drive
• Direct customers where to go and interact with them in a friendly, caring manner
• Prepare and move vehicles from service drive to parking area
• Clean, organize service drive and assist service team as needed
• Keep the drive clear by parking cars, recording inventory, and storing keys
• Supporting the service team, as needed, through miscellaneous duties
• Washes and dries vehicles
• Cleans windows and interior, vacuums carpets
• Inspects the finished product
• Empties trash cans and sweeps floors
• Cleans repair shop and paint shops

Here is what you will need:

• High School Diploma/GED is required
• Successfully complete MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
• Valid driver's license
• Enthusiastic and motivated individual seeking an opportunity to be successful
• Engaging personality with strong communication and customer service skills
• Customer service experience preferred
