Job summary

Micro Center in Overland Park, KS is seeking a self-motivated Service Operations Supervisor for its Computer Service Repair and Knowledge Bar. You will lead the service team, manage inventory and parts, ensure customer service standards, and drive performance to meet goals.

The role requires supervisory experience, A+ and Apple certifications within 120 days, and strong communication skills. Flexible shifts include mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least one year of supervisory/management experience in a service facility or retail service environment.
• A+ and Apple certifications required within 120 days of hire.
• Strong communication and language skills; ability to handle multiple customers and projects.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials; ability to write reports and procedures.
• Physical capability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds; stand for long periods.
• Shift flexibility includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the Computer Service Repair Department and Knowledge Bar staff.
• Ensure parts orders and returns are accurate and timely; monitor stock quality control.
• Manage cycle counts, inventory turns, obsolescence and markdowns with Service Purchasing.
• Maintain customer service standards; handle difficult customer situations professionally.
• Drive department performance to meet goals for customer satisfaction, productivity, income, and efficiency.
• Manage vendor relationships, costs, margins, and SLAs; collaborate on vendor P&Ls.
• Participate in staffing, orientation, and training; assist with scheduling.
• Maintain certification level of the shop to ensure proper service and repair quality.
• Oversee look and upkeep of the parts room and department facilities.
