Job summary

Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co., Inc., the Caterpillar dealer for Pennsylvania, northern West Virginia and western Maryland, has an immediate opening for an Assistant Service Manager. The role provides supervision to Field Service and Main Shop teams, overseeing a mix of hourly staff to ensure timely, high-quality work.

Key duties include managing service personnel, improving customer satisfaction, controlling service expenses and KPI results, coordinating warranty work, and conducting safety

Qualifications

• Experience supervising field service and shop personnel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn new systems and processes.
• Strong customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage service personnel.
• Maintain existing sales and increase sales to existing customers.
• Maintain high level of customer satisfaction by identifying and resolving problems promptly.
• Manage service expenses and profitability.
• Maintain service KPI results at acceptable levels.
• Ensure work orders are closed within established timelines.
• Coordinate safety meetings and enforce safety policies.
• Investigate and report on safety concerns.
• Coordinate outside vendor repair work with shop progress.
• Ensure warranty requirements are met.
• Conduct performance evaluations.
