Job summary

PSS Industrial Group is seeking a hands-on supervisor to hire, train, and oversee service mechanics. You will manage scheduling, oversee performance, and ensure timely completion of client work orders while enforcing shop health and safety policies.

The role requires strong leadership, industry knowledge, and the ability to translate complex work orders for team clarity, with routine weekend shifts and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and daily oversee staff.
• Manage staff scheduling and duties.
• Handle performance management and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Process customer and client work orders.
• Enter customer and job details into the database and maintain records.
• Assist in repairs, construction, or maintenance on client orders.
• Ensure work meets deadlines and company standards.
• Enforce health and safety policies on site.
• Lead on-site health or safety emergencies.
• Address and resolve customer issues and complaints.
• Inspect, clean, and repair shop machinery and equipment.
• Operate shop machinery such as forklifts.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Order supplies as needed.
