Job summary

Machine Learning Technologies, LLC is seeking a senior ServiceNow SAM Pro specialist to implement and optimize software asset management across enterprise environments. The role emphasizes licensing models, publisher rules, and integration with CMDB, ITOM, and inventory tools.

The ideal candidate will lead reconciliations, audits, and cost-optimization efforts while collaborating with IT teams to ensure data integrity and governance. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• 2–3+ years implementing and supporting SAM Pro.
• Software models, entitlements, license positions, normalization, reconciliation, reclamation, and SaaS License Management.
• Understanding of licensing models, publisher agreements, compliance requirements, and software audits.
• REST/SOAP API integrations, MID Server, SCCM/MECM, Intune, Jamf, and software inventory tools.
• ITSM, CMDB/CSDM, ITOM Discovery, Service Mapping, and Service Graph knowledge.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and customize ServiceNow SAM Pro including models, entitlements, contracts, licenses, and publisher-specific rules.
• Manage software normalization, reconciliation, reclamation, SaaS Licensing, and optimization processes.
• Ensure software license compliance and identify cost-saving opportunities by eliminating unused licenses.
• Configure and maintain licensing rules for major publishers (Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, IBM, VMware, Salesforce).
• Integrate SAM Pro with CMDB, ITOM Discovery, Service Mapping, SCCM/MECM, Intune, Jamf, and other inventory systems.
• Maintain data quality, accurate CMDB mapping, and adherence to CSDM standards.
• Support publisher audits with entitlements, usage records, compliance positions, and documentation.
• Develop dashboards and reports on license consumption, compliance risks, usage, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with ITAM, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Vendor Management, and IT Operations teams.
• Prepare technical documentation, configuration guides, and implementation plans; provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Required Skills:

Preferred Qualifications:

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• Certified Implementation Specialist – Software Asset Management Professional (CIS‑SAM).
• CIS‑ITAM and/or CIS‑ITSM certifications.
• Experience in enterprise IT Asset Management, Software Asset Management, license compliance, and software cost optimization.
