Job summary

Sanco Thermo King is seeking a Service Manager to maximize efficiency, revenue, and productivity of the Service Department while driving top-tier customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with colleagues across departments to boost performance and profitability.

Key duties include supervising technicians, managing work orders, mentoring staff, handling invoices and estimates, and ensuring high service quality through proactive training and reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Five years of practical service management experience.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service.
• Respond promptly to customer needs and manage difficult situations with professionalism.
• Manage shop workload, schedule appointments, and coordinate with Service Technicians.
• Mentor Service Technicians and monitor repairs.
• Process work orders from start to finish per company policies.
• Maintain records for time, parts, and purchases for repairs.
• Review weekly parts and labor sales numbers and goals.
• Process warranty repairs with the manufacturer.
• Prepare and finalize invoices and collect payments.
• Generate estimates when needed.
• Pursue ongoing training to expand technical and product knowledge.
• Report faulty equipment and hazards to the Director of Service.
• Own the customer experience and support dealership in leaving a positive impression.
