Job summary

Michael Jordan's Steak House in Mohegan Sun, CT seeks a Service Manager to lead FOH service and hospitality excellence. You will train and coach the team, enforce grooming standards, and partner with Learning & Development on ongoing service updates.

Responsibilities include scheduling, guest experience oversight, labor management, and collaboration with GM/HR on staff issues. A strong focus on budgets and KPIs guides daily operations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years minimum experience in hospitality management.
• 3 years supervisory experience.
• Experience with P&L reports and budgets.
• Experience with POS systems.
• Excellent math skills.
• Experience in training (planning and implementation).
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Food sanitation management and alcohol awareness certifications (may be obtained on hire).

Responsibilities

• Manage FOH service and hospitality standards; coach the team.
• Collaborate with Learning & Development to update service standards.
• Assist host team to maximize seating and efficiency.
• Maintain grooming and attire standards.
• Lead pre/post-shift meetings and staff recognition.
• Manage service schedules and labor costs.
• Monitor guest dining experience and respond to requests.
• Coordinate with GM and HR on staff conflicts.
• Oversee cleanliness, ambiance, and facilities coordination.
• Build rapport between kitchen and FOH staff to minimize conflicts.
• Participate in management meetings and monitor budgets.
