Job summary

Rush Truck Centers is seeking a Service Manager to lead a productive service department in a dynamic dealership network. The role focuses on budgeting, staffing, and customer retention while ensuring cost controls and accurate service records are maintained.

The position requires minimum two years of service department experience in a commercial dealership, a valid driver license, and a high school diploma. Excellent customer relations and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Two years’ service department experience in a commercial dealership environment.
• Must possess a current and valid driver license with insurability as per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the service department.
• Monitor and control the performance of the department using reporting and tracking systems.
• Monitor technicians’ daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll records.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
• Establish and maintain relationships with vocational and technical schools for recruitment.
• Prepare pricing guides and maintenance menus for frequent labor operations.
• Establish 72-hour follow-up with customers to confirm satisfaction with service.
• Maintain reporting systems required by general management and corporate personnel.
