Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals in Little Rock, AR seeks a Service Manager to oversee repair and maintenance of both company-owned and customer equipment, manage service scheduling and parts, and train staff mechanics. The role emphasizes safety, quality control, and accurate service records for a fast-growing rental leader in North America.

You will coordinate with vendors, handle service calls, and ensure equipment is ready to rent while promoting a culture of safety and efficiency throughout the service

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Extensive experience in repair and maintenance of self-propelled platforms and lifts.
• Knowledge of work planning and scheduling and supervisory activities.
• Strong understanding of equipment capabilities and safety requirements.
• Planning and management experience.
• Computer literacy.
• Reporting experience.
• Inventory management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage repair and maintenance of company-owned and customer equipment.
• Prepare work schedules and handle service calls to meet needs.
• Order parts to maintain adequate supplies.
• Provide training and assistance to staff mechanics.
• Work with equipment vendors to learn maintenance requirements.
• Evaluate equipment after repairs, maintenance or safety checks.
• Document equipment status before and after rental.
• Handle customer complaints regarding equipment condition or operation.
• Promote safety awareness and perform quality control checks.
• Update, maintain and keep organized equipment service records.
• Create, update, close and bill work orders.
• File warranty claims in a timely fashion.
• Commission new equipment.
• Order parts, return parts, and perform parts inventory.
• Disposal of Solid and Hazardous Material Waste.
• Perform other duties assigned by the manager.
