Qualifications

• Associate degree, vocational certification, or other educational program related to office management, logistics, business administration, or closely related field.
• 3 years of operations experience, preferably in a technical, field service environment.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve and manage field service activities and growth in a competitive environment.
• Maintain a valid driver's license and insurable driving record.

What you'll be doing...

As a Service Manager, you manage a team responsible for exceptional client experiences, along with overseeing branch operations, performance and attainment of financial goals. You supervise a team that may include Field Service Technicians, Service Coordinators, and other non-sales branch staff. You are directly responsible for ensuring the profitability and efficiency of the assigned Service department (which may be regional or branch specific). Success in this role requires strong managerial skills, communication skills, and a focus on financial performance.

• ENSURE EXCEPTIONAL CLIENT EXPERIENCE by motivating associates to reach and maintain goals for technical proficiency, customer service skills, productivity rates, and managing daily schedule to maximize productivity and ensure client satisfaction.
• SUPPORT BURKHART PROFITABILITY by promoting and supporting branch growth and profitability, primarily focused on the Service profitability and growth. Provides close oversight and management of branch expenses, including payroll, overtime, and credit card charges.
• KEEPS BRANCH RUNNING SMOOTHLY by keeping branch and files organized, scheduling and running meetings, facilitating communication between Service and Sales.
• MANAGE SERVICE DEPARTMENT by performing and ensuring completeness of administrative requirements of service department.
• BUILD AND SUPPORTS A COHESIVE, HIGH PERFORMING TEAM by setting goals and providing on-going, structured, and frequent coaching to support associate success.
• COLLABORATE WITH SALES LEADERSHIP to ensure alignment on key projects.
• BUILD BURKHART'S LONG-TERM SUCCESS by effectively leading assigned direct reports, managing for optimal performance, consistently supporting career growth and development, and nurturing engagement with the Burkhart cultural values.

What you'll need...

• Associate degree, vocational certification, or other educational program related to office management, logistics, business administration, or closely related field.
• 3 years of operations experience, preferably in a technical, field service environment.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve and manage field service activities and growth in a competitive environment.
• Maintain a valid driver's license, maintain a good driving record (as defined by Burkhart's liability insurance), and be insurable at all times. This position requires that you drive a variety of vehicles, none of which require special commercial licensing.

Preferred Additional Education and/or Experience:

• Supervisory experience.
• Experience as a field service technician, or in overseeing or coordinating the work of field service technicians.
• Experience with dental or medical equipment service, supplies, and sales organization.
• Vocational training in mechanics, electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and/or military technical training.

Salary Info:

The salary range for this position is: $90,000 - $100,000 annually.

Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.
