Job summary

Pomp’s Tire Service in Michigan is seeking a Service Manager to lead daily operations, coordinate service scheduling with customers, and manage a team of service staff. This role collaborates with customers to ensure we meet their service needs and maintain high standards across the shop.

You will drive efficiency, oversee inventory, and contribute to a growing company that values internal promotion and professional growth. This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities to advance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication and customer-service focus.
• Experience in management and sales preferred; tire industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose tire issues and provide effective solutions.
• Handle incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries promptly.
• Delegate tasks to service staff to maintain workflow and efficiency.
• Support inventory management and ensure proper stock levels.
• Assist in the shop to help maintain production levels.
• Follow up on past-due accounts to ensure timely payments.
• Ensure proper training and development for service staff.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace at all times.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.

What You’ll Do:

• Diagnose tire issues and recommend effective solutions

What You Need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass pre-employment driver’s file
• Preferred: Experience in management and sales
• Strongly preferred: Previous experience in the tire industry
• Ability to read and verify work order details accurately
• Strong ability to maintain confidentiality of personal and business information
• Familiarity with MaddenCo software system is a plus
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external customers and co-workers
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds regularly; occasionally lift, push, or move 100 pounds
