Service Manager
Grand Rapids, MN |$60,000 -$70,000/year (BOE) | Monday - Friday

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting a Service Manager for a local company in the Grand Rapids area. We're looking for an experienced, hands-on leader who can oversee a busy service department, support a team of technicians, and ensure customers receive timely, professional service from start to finish.

This position is ideal for someone who understands a mechanical service environment and is comfortable balancing customer needs, technician workloads, scheduling, and day-to-day department operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily service department operations and workflow
• Schedule and prioritize service and repair work
• Assign jobs to technicians based on workload and skill level
• Communicate with customers regarding repairs, recommendations, costs, and completion timelines
• Review work orders and help ensure jobs are completed accurately and efficiently
• Support technicians with questions, troubleshooting, and job priorities
• Monitor open work and follow up on jobs to keep projects moving
• Address customer questions or service concerns professionally
• Maintain an organized, productive, and safety-focused work environment
• Work with other departments to coordinate customer and operational needs

Qualifications

• Previous service management, service writing/advising, shop leadership, or related experience
• Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of repair/service operations
• Experience leading or coordinating technicians is preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to organize schedules and manage multiple priorities
• Comfortable making decisions and resolving customer or workflow issues
• Dependable, organized, and able to take ownership of department performance
• Previous experience working around mechanical equipment, vehicles, or similar products is a plus

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Pay: Up to $70,000/year starting salary for the right candidate, based on experience and qualifications.
