Job summary

Goosetown Enterprises Inc. is seeking a Service & Logistics Specialist to provide parts and merchandise with exceptional customer service at the core of every interaction. You will handle phone inquiries, take orders, and manage inventory and payments in a fast-paced environment.

You will coordinate repairs, schedule service calls, and assist the Bloomfield, CT office with parts ordering and returns. Strong tech understanding and multitasking skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience with parts and repairs preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow detailed processes.
• Technology foundations including telecom knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone and greet customers & vendors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take customer orders, identify parts, and offer alternatives when needed.
• Enter purchased items into the sales/inventory system, obtain payment, and add to the credit account.
• Coordinate parts for repair and schedule service calls.
• Receive, unpack, and store parts in appropriate storage areas so they are readily available.
• Pick parts, pack, and ship orders as required.
• Support Bloomfield, CT office with scheduling of service calls and ordering parts.
• Process parts warranties and returns as necessary.

Job SummaryAs a Service & Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for providing parts and merchandise to customers while providing exceptional customer service.Primary ResponsibilitiesAnswer telephone and greet customers & vendors in a friendly and professional manner.Take customer orders, clarify requests, identify parts needed, and offer alternative solutions if necessary.Complete sales by entering purchased items into sales/inventory system, obtain payment, add to credit account, and issue sales receipt.Maintain clean and professional appearance of counter, work area, and stockroom.Coordinate parts for repair and schedule service calls.Offer in-house and customer tech support.Order parts from suppliers based on Service Department and customer requests.Receive, unpack, and store parts in appropriate storage areas so they are readily available when needed.Pick parts, pack, and ship orders as required.Take inventory, maintain records of goods received, and keep perpetual inventory controls.Process parts warranties and returns as necessary.Support Bloomfield, CT office with scheduling of service calls and ordering parts.Other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTSPrevious parts experienceUnderstand basic components and systems.Radio/Telecommunications service experienceAbility to work independently and as an active member of a team.Strong multitasking, time management and prioritization skills.Excellent organizational skills and initiative.Strong foundation and understanding of technology.Strong understanding of transmission, broadcasting, & switching.Control and operations of telecommunications systems.Solid mechanical backgroundStrong understanding of public safety• Strong and proven background providing excellent customer service.• Good interpersonal skills as communication will be required• Ability to follow a detailed process.• Proficiency with all Microsoft Office Products.Note that duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned atany time with or without notice.EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:• High School Diploma (Required)
