Job summary

Vanguard Truck Centers LLC in Cahokia Heights, IL seeks a Service Technician Lead to recruit, coach, and manage service technicians. You will be the Uptime expert, enforcing Volvo Uptime workflow, and ensuring high-quality repairs while staying compliant with regulations.

CDL is required to road test trucks, ASE certifications are preferred, and a focus on safety is essential. You will oversee technician performance, assist with training, and coordinate repairs and customer follow-up to ensure

CDL required to road test trucks.
ASE certifications or equivalents preferred.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

Recruits, hires, and motivates qualified service technicians.
Be the Uptime expert and enforce the Volvo Uptime workflow.
Assist technicians in developing their skills and training.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations affecting service operations.
Conduct regular performance reviews for technicians.
Assign repairs fairly and monitor progress of repair orders.
Provide technical support to technicians and ensure accurate billing.
Road test vehicles to verify quality of workmanship.
Maintain clean, safe shop conditions and proper tool storage.
Establish and maintain customer follow-up to confirm satisfaction.
