The role focuses on welcoming customers, gathering vehicle data, writing the service orders, and presenting accurate repair estimates. You will work with the service team to ensure customer satisfaction and timely communication throughout the repair process.

Qualifications

• Follows the dress code the company has put in place.
• Follows federal, state and local law as well as company policy about safeguarding all information.
• Reports on time to work and follows schedule that is given.
• Keeps current with annual HR training along with any other training that might be required for this position.
• Follows all company policies and procedures. Notifies supervisor of any illegal activity.

Responsibilities

• Schedules service appointments and collects customer and vehicle data when possible.
• Greet service customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Listen to customers' reasons for bringing in their vehicle to the service department.
• Write up vehicle problems accurately on the repair order and document changes.
• Provide accurate estimates for services or repairs and obtain authorization for additions.
• Test drive vehicle with customer to confirm problems or refer to test technician.
• Handle customer complaints with courtesy and tact to avoid escalation.
• Inform service manager of unsatisfied customers when needed.
• Keep customers updated on progress, changes to estimates, and promised times.
