Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas is seeking a Service Engineering Manager to lead technical engineering services for large-frame turbine, generator, and auxiliary equipment. You will balance engineering leadership with people management of engineers, technicians, and interns to improve fleet reliability and long-term cost performance.

The role requires coordinating with global teams, driving continuous improvement, supporting audits, and traveling up to 20% to customer sites and factories.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Knowledge of turbine configuration, design, boundary conditions, temperatures, and materials.
• Demonstrated management or team leadership experience in short-term, critical-path development programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineers, technicians, and interns supporting LTSA and Service Operations, including timely technical evaluations and disposition of non-conformances.
• Maintain field service engineering support coverage throughout the year.
• Lead personnel development through regular check-ins, performance reviews, coaching, and technical skill development.
• Lead the team tasking and certification program, including initial and recurring training based on first-time quality and on-time delivery performance.
• Create and assign work while ensuring high-quality completion by committed dates.
• Coordinate with Mitsubishi Power factories and engineering organizations to implement design improvements and reduce business exposure.
