Pyramid Consulting, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Service Engineer specializing in Data Center and server hardware in Windsor, CO.

This onsite, 8+ month contract offers hands-on support for PowerEdge systems, BIOS/firmware, and diagnostics, with on-call rotations and field service responsibilities. You will install, replace, and troubleshoot server components, document actions, and coordinate with customers and internal teams to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Enterprise server or data center hardware experience.
• Direct experience installing, diagnosing, repairing, or replacing server components.
• Strong understanding of server hardware architecture and troubleshooting.
• Experience with BIOS/firmware, hardware diagnostics, and management tools.
• Familiarity with Linux or similar OS.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, travel to customer sites, and on-call availability.
• Experience with PowerEdge servers and enterprise hardware certifications.
• Experience with iDRAC/iLO or comparable server management platforms.
• Data center operations experience including rack/stack and cabling.
• Associate’s or bachelor's degree in IT or CS.

Responsabilités

• Provide on-site technical support for PowerEdge and other enterprise server hardware
• Diagnose and resolve server hardware failures to minimize downtime
• Install, remove, replace, and repair server components (RAM, CPUs, PSUs, fans, drives, RAID/HBA, NICs, GPUs, motherboards)
• Perform reactive break/fix and preventive maintenance
• Troubleshoot BIOS/firmware, OS, and hardware diagnostics
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams during service events
• Document service activities, replacements, steps, and resolutions
• Participate in on-call rotations and extended coverage

Immediate need for a talented Service Engineer- Data Center / Server Hardware. This is a 08+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Windsor, CO(Onsite).

Pay Range: $41.61/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
• Provide on-site technical support for PowerEdge and other enterprise server hardware
• Diagnose and resolve server hardware failures and system issues to minimize customer downtime
• Perform hands-on hardware installation, removal, replacement, and repair, including Memory/DIMMs, CPUs, power supplies, fans, cooling components, hard drives/SSDs, RAID/HBA components, NICs, GPUs, and motherboards
• Execute both reactive break/fix and preventive maintenance following established procedures
• Troubleshoot issues involving server hardware, BIOS/firmware, operating systems, and hardware diagnostics
• Work directly with customers and internal technical teams during service events to communicate status and drive resolution
• Accurately document service activities, hardware replacements, troubleshooting steps, and resolution details
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide extended coverage as required

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise servers, data center hardware, or similar infrastructure
• Direct, hands-on experience physically working on server hardware — installing, removing, diagnosing, repairing, or replacing server components
• Strong understanding of server hardware architecture and troubleshooting methodology
• Experience with hardware diagnostics, BIOS/firmware, and server management tools
• Familiarity with Linux or similar operating systems
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., travel to customer sites, and support flexible/on-call schedules
• Experience supporting PowerEdge servers
• Enterprise hardware certifications
• Experience with iDRAC, iLO, or comparable server management platforms
• Experience supporting GPU/AI server infrastructure
• Experience with data center operations, rack/stack, structured cabling, or server deployment
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
