Support Supermicro Global Service Installation Team and help build a world-class service organization. This position requires working flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to complete equipment installation in a data center environment. Responsibilities include racking & stacking, copper/fibre cabling of server and network equipment, and providing technical support for hardware and software functionalities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

1. Knowledge of rack elevations / cable mapping for customer solution projects.
2. Assist/support deployment of server, storage, and networking equipment.
3. Perform physical installation, rack and stack, cabling, and networking of data center hardware.
4. Coordinate with engineering team for seamless hardware integration.
5. Conduct quality checks and test system functionality post-installation.
6. Provide frontline technical support via phone, email, and ticketing system.
7. Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
8. Escalate complex problems to higher support levels.
9. Travel up to 50% for customer installations or troubleshooting at data centers.

This is a remote position; candidate will work from home and participate in team activities remotely.

Qualifications

1. 2+ years experience servicing complex X86 systems and components.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or an Associate’s degree plus relevant experience.
3. Minimum two years in Customer Support.
4. Hardware diagnostics skills and understanding of BIOS, drivers, and system issues.
5. Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
6. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, & Project.
7. Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
8. Experience with enterprise server hardware.
9. Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
