Job summary

McGavock Nissan Amarillo is seeking a Service Porter to support the dealership’s service department. You will greet customers, move vehicles between driveways and bays, and keep the service area tidy, while helping technicians and advisors with miscellaneous tasks.

You may also wash and prep vehicles for delivery, assist with inspections, and shuttle vehicles to other locations as needed. The role requires reliability and a customer-first attitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner upon arrival.
• Move customer and dealership vehicles safely between the service drive, parking areas, and service bays.
• Keep the service drive, customer waiting area, and parking lot clean, organized, and presentable.
• Wash, vacuum, and prepare customer vehicles for delivery after service.
• Assist with vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are properly tagged and parked.
• Shuttle vehicles to and from other dealership locations or vendors as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of loaner vehicles and dealership inventory.
• Support service advisors and technicians with miscellaneous tasks to improve workflow.
• Monitor parking areas and maintain an orderly vehicle inventory.
• Follow all dealership safety procedures and traffic regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by service management.
