Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Service Drive Manager to lead daily operations on the service drive, ensuring smooth coordination between customers and technicians and delivering high-quality automotive service. You will guide service consultants, monitor performance, and uphold safety and regulatory standards in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring proven leadership, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills, with at least two years in auto repair facilities and supervisory

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in an auto repair facility.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team collaboration with dealership personnel.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive manual transmission vehicles.
• One year of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and assign daily work objectives for the service drive.
• Monitor performance and counsel service consultants on behavioral or performance issues.
• Train, coach, supervise and assist service consultants.
• Assist in service reception during peak traffic to collect customer and vehicle data.
• Maintain supplies required to operate the service drive.
• Communicate with team leaders about job status.
• Review and resolve open repair orders beyond current week.
• Collaborate with dealership personnel to ensure quality service.
• Perform quality inspections on vehicles returned to customers.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction with service work.
• Understand and comply with federal, state and local regulations (e.g., hazardous waste disposal, OSHA).
• Follow safety procedures to minimize exposure to fumes and chemicals.
