Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Service Detail Lead to supervise a team of detail technicians, schedule daily objectives, and ensure safe, efficient shop operations.

You will coach, train, and motivate staff, monitor performance, document training, and collaborate with service consultants and managers to meet work demands.

The role requires excellent communication, a valid driver's license, and at least two years of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Two or more years of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and assign daily work objectives for technicians.
• Monitor performance and counsel technicians on behavioral or performance issues.
• Train, coach, supervise and assist technicians.
• Maintain a safe and efficient shop area free of hazards.
• Assess technicians' training, skills and abilities.
• Chart performance with service consultants and managers.
• Coordinate ongoing training and maintain training logs.
• Maintain staffing schedules to meet demand.
• Conduct team meetings to review performance and assignments.
