FleetPride, the largest after-market distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts in the U.S., seeks a dispatcher to handle inbound/outbound calls for roadside towing, record applications, and enter data with accuracy.

You will prioritize calls, coordinate drivers, monitor routes, and relay critical information to ensure timely service while staying composed under pressure. High school diploma or GED required; dispatching experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education preferred.
  • Dispatching experience is preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Strong phone voice and professional appearance are essential.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities, especially under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls and scheduling for roadside wrecking/towing services.
  • Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and record applications information.
  • Enter data in the computer system and maintain logs of calls and activities.
  • Prioritize calls by urgency and provide ETA.
  • Determine best driver, coordinate routes, and monitor driver locations.
  • Communicate pertinent information to drivers to complete calls.
  • Maintain calmness under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Billing for auto clubs (AAA/Agero/Gelco and others).
  • All other duties as assigned.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The dispatcher will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls & scheduling for roadside wrecking/towing services.
  • Receive Emergency and non-emergency phone calls and record applications information
  • Enter data in the computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities, and other information
  • Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance
  • Understanding and providing an appropriate estimated time of arrivals
  • Effectively determine which driver/operator and truck best fit the service requirements
  • Monitor the route and location of drivers to coordinate and prioritize their schedule
  • Communicate with drivers all pertinent information to complete the call
  • Initiate activities to stay busy and productive during downtime
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Fast, accurate typing with experience in data entry
  • Billing for auto clubs (AAA/Agero/Gelco and other parties)
  • Other duties assigned
EDUCATION & TRAINING

High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education or coursework desired

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Dispatching experience and knowledge is preferred

SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Maintain regular, consistent, and professional attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance
  • Computer experience and competency required
  • Have a clear and friendly phone voice
  • Advanced customer service and communication skills
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment including in emergency situations
  • Ability to multi-task and be a self-motived team player
WORKING CONDITIONS
WORK ENVIRONMENT

The primary environment is characterized by Inside/Outside Conditions, Varied Temperature Changes, minimal chemical hazards, vibration, dust and vehicle noise.

HOURS / SHIFTS

The annualized pay ranges vary based on work location. The salary range for this position is $16.00 – $24.00 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
