Job Overview:

The Service Dispatcher manages pool equipment service requests using scheduling software. The role involves maintaining high customer service standards, coordinating with Service Managers, Technicians, Customer Service Representatives, and stores to schedule appointments efficiently, address customer inquiries, and resolve scheduling issues to minimize costs.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor technician schedules for timely customer service and notify customers of delays.
  • Ensure proper routing and dispatch of same-day and next-day calls.
  • Reschedule dropped calls and follow up to ensure coverage.
  • Respond promptly to all communications via email, text, and Slack.
  • Follow up on parts on hold to maintain service continuity.
  • Coordinate warranty repair parts and scheduling.
  • Maintain excellent customer service within assigned districts.
  • Use scheduling software to coordinate service requests and appointments.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve scheduling and customer issues.
  • Optimize schedules for efficiency and cost savings.
  • Communicate delays and ensure customer commitments are met.
  • Handle inbound service requests and outbound calls during peak seasons.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication and phone etiquette.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer.
  • Positive professional interaction with contacts at all levels.
  • At least 2 years of retail or call center customer service experience.
  • Good attendance and work habits.
  • Willingness to learn about the swimming pool industry.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and overtime as needed.
