Job summary

Friendly Chevrolet in Dallas, Texas seeks an experienced Automotive Service Dispatcher to join a busy service department. You will oversee dispatching work to technicians, review appointments with Service Advisors, and ensure accurate billing and paperwork for each repair order.

Ideal candidates have prior automotive dispatcher experience and are proficient with dispatching software in a fast-paced, high-volume shop. Relocation and signing bonuses are available for qualified applicants.

• Must have previous automotive dispatcher experience.
• Proficient with automotive dispatching software.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch work to technicians and assist in various ways to ensure efficient maximum workflow of the service department.
• Review appointment load needed with Service Advisors.
• Flag hours on completed repair orders.
• Review parts and authorization holds on daily with Parts Personnel & Advisors.
• Review technician cause and corrections on repair orders.
• Assign Service Technicians to work orders based on technician skill set and geographic proximity to improve efficiency.
• Relay accurate information to technicians.
• Manager the whereabouts and administrative needs of technicians in the field.
• Document progress of each work order, manage work in process and bill work orders based on customer and job specifications.
• Communicate service-related issues with Customer Service Representative and Management.
• Maintain professionalism and establish customer rapport, encouraging repeat business.
