Job summary

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions Inc. is seeking a Commercial Roofing Service Director in the Jessup, Maryland area. The role leads a national roofing contractor's service operations, driving profitability, client relationships, and service growth with a strong technical and operational focus.

You will oversee estimates, manage field teams, and mentor service personnel, while collaborating with senior management to scale the service division to the next level.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial roofing estimating experience, including service, repairs, maintenance, and reroofing projects.
• Experience in commercial roofing service management, project management, estimating, or operations leadership.
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, built-up roofing).
• Experience preparing estimates, reviewing proposals, understanding labor and material costs, and managing profitability.
• Ability to lead teams, coordinate field operations, and maintain customer relationships.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Business-minded with an understanding of growing a profitable service department.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee commercial roofing service operations, including repairs, preventive maintenance, leak investigations, and service projects.
• Collaborate with Service Manager and field teams to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable project completion.
• Prepare and review estimates, proposals, and bids for roofing, waterproofing, and sheet metal service projects.
• Manage departmental performance, budgets, job costing, labor utilization, and profitability.
• Build and maintain relationships with commercial property owners and managers.
• Identify opportunities to expand service revenue and maintenance agreements.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development to service personnel.
• Work with senior management to set goals and improve service division processes.
