Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial roofing estimating experience, including service, repairs, maintenance, and reroofing projects.
• Experience in commercial roofing service management, project management, estimating, or operations leadership.
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, built-up roofing).
• Experience preparing estimates, reviewing proposals, understanding labor and material costs, and managing profitability.
• Ability to lead teams, coordinate field operations, and maintain customer relationships.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Business-minded with an understanding of growing a profitable service department.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Commercial Roofing Service Manager ready to take the next step in your career? An established national commercial roofing contractor is looking for a Service Director to lead, develop, and grow its commercial roofing service operations in the Jessup, Maryland area. This is an opportunity for someone who understands the commercial roofing business from both a technical and operational perspective. We're looking for a leader who can manage people, develop customer relationships, oversee estimating and profitability, and help take an established service department to the next level. You may already be running a service department or working in a senior service management role and looking for greater responsibility, autonomy, and long-term career growth.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and oversee commercial roofing service operations, including repairs, preventive maintenance, leak investigations, and service projects.
• Work closely with the Service Manager and field teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably.
• Prepare and review estimates, proposals, and bids for commercial roofing, waterproofing, and sheet metal service projects.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of commercial roofing estimating experience, ideally involving service, repairs, maintenance, and reroofing projects.
• Previous experience in commercial roofing service management, project management, estimating, or operations leadership.
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial roofing systems, including TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, built-up roofing, and related systems.
• Experience preparing estimates, reviewing proposals, understanding labor and material costs, and managing project profitability.
• Ability to lead teams, coordinate field operations, and maintain strong customer relationships.

• A business-minded approach with an understanding of how to grow a profitable commercial roofing service department.

• Base salary starting at $95,000+ annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
