Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience repairing heavy equipment or construction machinery.
  • Experience with OEM brands such as Takeuchi, Link-Belt, Bell, Volvo, Hyundai, CAT, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical diagnostics.
  • Personal basic tool set and valid driver's license with clean record.
  • Technical diploma in Diesel/Heavy Equipment Repair preferred (relevant experience accepted).

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair heavy equipment systems including diesel engines, hydraulics, powertrains, fuel systems, and electrical components.
  • Participate in annual technician evaluations to assess skills and growth opportunities.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and advanced diagnostics.
  • Remove, install, and rebuild major components with minimal supervision.
  • Use diagnostic tools, OEM manuals, and schematics for accurate repairs.
  • Document repairs and maintenance with detailed service reports.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
  • Safely operate and maneuver equipment in the service facility.
  • Participate in OEM and regional technical training as required.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experiencedHeavy Equipment Service Technicianfor ashop-based rolein a well-equipped service facility. This position focuses on thediagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance of heavy-duty off-road construction equipment, including loaders, excavators, and backhoes.

Compensation:

Starting at$32 or higher,based on experience

  • Technical school diploma in Diesel or Heavy Equipment Repair preferred (relevant experience accepted in lieu of formal education)
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented shop environment
  • Strong attention to detail with proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
