Job summary

Upper Valley Haven is seeking a Service Coordinator to join our supportive housing team in White River Junction, VT. You will manage a caseload of around 15 households, building strengths-based relationships and coordinating services to help tenants achieve housing stability.

The role emphasizes flexible, trauma-informed, client-centered work with supervision from a Licensed Clinician. On-site duties with some travel, full-time schedule, and generous benefits are included.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in social work, human services, counseling, psychology, or a related field required (or BA with substantial experience).
  • Experience working with individuals and families with complex needs.
  • Knowledge of homelessness, mental health, substance use, and housing stability challenges.
  • Strong crisis management and advocacy skills.
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a caseload of approximately 15 households in permanent supportive housing.
  • Build trusting relationships with tenants and conduct home visits.

Upper Valley Haven is seeking a Service Coordinator to join our supportive housing team. This is a rare opportunity to work with a focused caseload of 15 households living in our A Way Home Permanent Supportive Housing program in White River Junction, Vermont. The opening results from an internal promotion, reflecting the growth opportunities available within our organization.

Working alongside a fellow Service Coordinator and under the supervision of a Licensed Clinician, you will help individuals and families maintain stable housing, pursue personal goals, and access the services and resources they need to thrive. Unlike many case management positions, this role is not constrained by billing requirements, allowing staff to work creatively, flexibly, and responsively to meet tenants' needs.

What You'll Do

As a Service Coordinator, you will:

  • Maintain a caseload of approximately 15 households living in permanent supportive housing

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master's degree in social work, human services, counseling, psychology, or a related field. A bachelor's degree accompanied by considerable experience can be considered.
  • Experience working with individuals and families with complex needs
  • Knowledge of homelessness, mental health, substance use, and housing stability challenges
  • Strong crisis management and advocacy skills
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred:

  • Experience in housing services, case management, or permanent supportive housing
  • Familiarity with HMIS or similar database systems
  • Knowledge of resources and services available throughout the Upper Valley region
Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $54,000-$57,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.

Schedule & Work Environment

This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position with some scheduling flexibility. The role is primarily on-site in White River Junction and involves regular home visits, community-based work, and limited travel throughout the Upper Valley. Company vehicles and mileage reimbursement are available for work-related travel. Remote work opportunities are limited due to the nature of the position.
