Job summary

Sheppard Pratt's Adult Residential Treatment Center in Towson, MD is seeking a direct care professional to support adults 18+ with serious mental illness. You will assess and monitor client needs, develop service plans, coordinate community resources, and advocate for residents to promote independence and recovery.

Responsibilities include enrolling clients in programs, coordinating medical appointments, managing medications, obtaining entitlements, documenting accurately, and planning

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1 year related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Willingness to obtain additional certifications/trainings as required.
• Driver’s license with 3 points or less and access to insured vehicle.
• Availability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Job description

The Adult Residential Treatment Center (RTC) provides services for persons ages 18 and older with serious mental illness, including individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders or development disabilities. Our teams craft individualized plans for the residents to reach the highest level of recovery possible.

What to expect.

This is a direct care opportunity to support not just the mental health of your clients, but also their overall independence and wellbeing. You will assess and monitor client needs, develop service plans, connect clients to community services and resources, and advocate for your clients as necessary.

Additional responsibilities will include:

• Assisting clients through program enrollment and orientation.
• Coordinating client medical appointments, transportation, housing, money management, etc.
• Developing and assisting with client medication management plan.
• Obtaining and maintaining entitlements for clients.
• Maintaining accurate and complete documentation.
• Developing and coordinating transitions plans and program discharge

Pay for this position is a flat rate of $20.34/hr.
