Job summary

Lakes Regional Community Center is seeking a Service Coordinator to assess and verify service coordination needs and oversee planning, referrals, monitoring, and advocacy for consumers.

The role requires after-hours flexibility, frequent contact with consumers, families, and providers, and a commitment to helping individuals with IDD access needed services. Bachelor's or related degree is preferred; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in any field OR Associate degree in social, behavioral, human service, or health-related field with at least one year paid or unpaid experience working with individuals with IDD preferred
• High School diploma with two years paid or unpaid experience with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or advanced degree from an accredited college or university (any field) OR Associate degree in a social, behavioral, human service, or health-related field including psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human development, gerontology, educational psychology, education, and criminal justice with at least one year paid or unpaid experience working with individuals with IDD is preferred

High School diploma or a certificate recognized by a state as the equivalent of a high school diploma, and two years of paid or unpaid experience with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

One or more years of work experience serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities; working computer skills. Bilingual in Spanish & English a plus.
