Lakes Regional in Sulphur Springs, TX is seeking a Service Coordinator to assess needs, plan services, and advocate for consumers in the local IDD community.

This position requires strong communication skills, Spanish/English bilingual abilities, and a flexible schedule including some after-hours work to support families and providers in the local area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Advanced degree in any field OR Associate degree in a social, behavioral, human service, or health-related field with at least one year experience with individuals with IDD preferred OR High School diploma with two years experience with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• One or more years of work experience serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities; bilingual in Spanish & English a plus.

Responsibilities

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or advanced degree from an accredited college or university (any field) ORAssociate degree in a social, behavioral, human service, or health-related field including psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human development, gerontology, educational psychology, education, and criminal justice with at least one year paid or unpaid experience working with individuals with IDD is preferred ORHigh School diploma or a certificate recognized by a state as the equivalent of a high school diploma, and two years of paid or unpaid experience with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

One or more years of work experience serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities; working computer skills. Bilingual in Spanish & English a plus.
