Job summary

K&A Appliance is seeking a Service Coordinator to oversee service operations, coordinate a small team of technicians, and ensure exceptional customer service for household appliances.

The role emphasizes optimizing service efficiency, handling warranty claims, and coordinating parts and payments while ensuring safety and adherence to policies. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Full-time, on-site in Lancaster, PA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in appliance/retail repair preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Available to work Monday–Friday 9:00–5:30, some Fridays until 7pm and every 4th Saturday 9:00–4:00.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer systems and service/delivery software.
• PA driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations of the service department and technicians.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction through efficient service processes.
• Develop strategies to optimize service efficiency and timely task completion.
• Resolve customer complaints or escalate as needed.
• Ensure safety regulations and company policies are followed.
• Assist other departments, especially Delivery & Customer Check-out.
• Document and track inventory of parts and order needed items.
• Order and track parts for the Service Department.
• File warranty claims with manufacturers promptly.
• Bill and collect payments for non-warranty work and parts.

K&A Appliance is currently seeking a dynamic individual to join their team. As Service Coordinator you will be responsible for overseeing the service operations of our appliance store. You will coordinate a small team of dedicated professionals, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service for their household appliances.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the daily operations of the service department including service technicians.
• Monitor and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through efficient and timely service processes.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize service efficiency, ensuring timely completion of tasks and daily operations.
• Resolve customer complaints or elevate issues as necessary, ensuring prompt resolution.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist with other departments, mostly Delivery & Customer Check-out.
• Document & track current inventory of parts in order to determine what is already in stock, maintain certain levels of product & order parts needed to accomplish service repairs.
• Order & track parts needed for the Service Department
• File warranty claims with manufacturers in a timely fashion.
• Bill & collect payments from customers for non-warranty service work & parts.

Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the appliance and/or retail repair industry
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Be available to work Monday through Friday 9am to 5:30pm, Fridays occasionally until 7pm and possibly 1 Saturday every 4 weeks from 9am to 4pm .
• Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and team members.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and software relevant to service and delivery operations.
• Must have a valid PA Driver's License and be able to produce it at the time of the interview.

**Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred, but not required**
