Job summary

Mazzella is seeking a Service Coordinator to oversee crane service operations in our Fort Worth branch. You will organize scheduling, supervise Field Service Technicians, prepare quotes, and coordinate parts and equipment to ensure timely, quality service delivery.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (vocational training preferred) and at least 4 years in an administrative, customer service, or technical role, with strong communication and multi-tasking abilities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma is required.
  • Vocational-technical school or equivalent military or technical college training preferred.
  • 4 years minimum experience in an administrative, customer service or technical environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage scheduling for multiple employees.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience supervising staff and coordinating crane service activities.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and manage scheduling of crane service work including inspections, repairs, upgrades and emergency service work.
  • Analyze and update service scheduling including technician assignment.
  • Establish and maintain rapport with customers to provide quality service.
  • Prepare quotations for installation work, breakdown repairs and upgrades and submit to customers.
  • Source and purchase crane parts and components for service work; coordinate equipment and supplies.
  • Communicate with customers and technicians to ensure timely completion of service jobs.

Brief Description

The Service Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and facilitating all processes essential for the branch to effectively complete crane service work. This role involves organizing, managing, and scheduling service operations, ensuring timely and efficient execution of tasks. The Service Coordinator supervises Field Service Technicians, providing leadership and support to ensure high-quality service delivery. Additionally, the Coordinator performs various tasks as assigned by the Service Manager, contributing to the overall success and operational efficiency of the service department.

Responsibilities
  • Organize and manage the scheduling of all crane service work; inspections, repairs, upgrades and emergency service work
  • Analyze and update service scheduling including technician assignment
  • Establish and maintain rapport with customers in order to provide the best possible service
  • Prepare service generated quotations and submit them to customers for installation work, breakdown repairs and upgrades
  • Follow up on quotations submitted and purchases made
  • Source and purchase crane parts and components for service generated work, equipment required to do service work and supplies for crane technicians
  • Communicate with customers and crane technicians to assure that service jobs are completed efficiently and on time
  • Review technician’s time for accuracy and completeness
  • File and retrieve department documents, files, records and reports
  • Assist with overall maintenance of the department and offices
  • Prepare jobs for startup (gathering parts, manuals, drawings needed, and confirm dates with customer)
  • Track closings for monthly projections
  • Arrange rental equipment (set‑up and call off) for service jobs
  • Complete or assist with special projects as requested
  • Assist Service Writers in understanding completed inspection reports to formulate quotes
  • Monitor employee and technicians’ work time for payroll
  • Keep assigned training assignments current
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Summary

Experience & Skills

  • Knowledge of crane and hoist service industry
  • Ordering and purchasing experience
  • Strong computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
