Job summary

CarMax Milwaukee is seeking a Service Consultant to be the trusted link between customers and our technicians. You will guide customers through the service and repair process, document concerns, and keep them informed from start to finish with clear, friendly communication.

You will review work, prepare invoices, handle payments, and coordinate workflow in a fast-paced environment while following EH&S rules and maintaining a clean workspace. This role emphasizes customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Ability to document customer concerns accurately and create detailed repair orders for technicians.
• Comfort working across departments in a high-energy environment and handling cash transactions.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage customers with professionalism and empathy throughout the service experience.
• Document concerns, create repair orders, and provide timely updates on vehicle status.
• Consult with customers on recommended repairs and explain service details clearly.
• Review completed work for accuracy and prepare invoices for billing.
• Process service payments and manage cash transactions responsibly.
• Coordinate workflow to maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow EH&S requirements and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
