Job summary

Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) is seeking an Assistant Service Center Manager to lead a high-performance team, perform maintenance on vehicles, and ensure guest satisfaction through a trusted quick-service approach.

You will supervise hourly staff, train teammates, and develop weekly schedules while upholding safety and quality standards. The role offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within a fast-paced automotive service environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of supervisory experience required (coaching, training, and supervising a team).
• Customer service mindset and demonstrated ability to build loyalty while following company procedures.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment and history of making sound judgments under pressure.
• Experience using KPI data to monitor performance, trends, and identify areas for improvement.
• Schedule flexibility (weekend availability likely) and English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes and additional car maintenance services, educate guests on vehicle maintenance requirements and ensure that recommended services are reviewed.
• Supervise daily service-center operations and train new team members.
• Develop and maintain efficient weekly work schedules for employees and ensure labor-law compliance.
• Assist with inventory processes and ordering to maintain appropriate product levels.
• Lead store audits (safety, performance, culture) and maintain a clean, safe center.
• Open and close the service center following safety and security protocols.
