Job summary

PROTRANS INTERNATIONAL LLC is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist in Indianapolis, IN to coordinate the movement of materials from suppliers through our Service Center Network. You will liaise between dock operations and customers, maintain accurate data, and prepare all inbound/outbound documentation.

Key duties include dispatching service requirements, reporting critical shipping information, and coordinating outbound volumes with planning.

Qualifications

• Must be able to use database and inventory software for tracking shipments.
• Proficient in creating and validating inbound/outbound documentation.
• Experience with data input and producing reports for customers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, schedules, and dispatches service requirements from pickups through deliveries.
• Liaises between dock operations and internal/external customers.
• Tracks data and reports information to customers and management.
• Manages inter-company communications and coordinates outbound volume with planning.
• Provides customer service to internal and external customers.
• Prepares inbound and outbound documentation.
• Performs additional clerical duties as assigned.
• Validates materials on dock, labeling, packing slips, and box movements.
• Generates reports for dock coordinators with shipping information.
• Oversees loading activities as needed.

Job Description - Shipping and Receiving Specialist

SUMMARY

This position coordinates the movement of customer's materials from suppliers through our Service Center Network.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinates, schedules, and dispatches of all service requirements from local pickups through deliveries.
• Must be direct liaison between dock operations and internal / external customer
• Responsible for tracking, data input, and reporting of information to external and internal customers
• Responsible for inter-company and intra-company communication.
• Works with planning group on coordinating facility out bound volume
• Provides customer service to internal and external customers
• Prepare all inbound and outbound documentation
• Additional clerical duties as assigned
• Validation and verification of materials on dock to include labeling, pulling packing slips, moving boxes, opening boxes
• Generate reports providing Dock Coordinator’s with the critical shipping information
• This job may require overseeing of loading activities (varies by center).
