Job summary

The Salvation Army Cortez Service Center Director leads all operations of the Service Center in Montezuma County, Colorado, providing direct social services, overseeing thrift store and food pantry ministries, and managing fiscal oversight and local fundraising efforts. The Director reports to the Divisional HQ in Denver, CO and supervises a Case Manager, Center Operations staff, interns, and volunteers.

This is a full-time exempt role with a 40-hour week, offering a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; or a minimum of three years of progressive experience in human services/nonprofit management.
• Prior supervisory experience required; experience managing multi-function teams is preferred.
• Experience with grant writing, budgeting, and financial reporting in nonprofit/public sector contexts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily operations of the Cortez Service Center, ensuring service delivery and program operations comply with TSA policies.
• Supervise staff, interns, and volunteers; approve leave, conduct reviews, and manage HR records.
• Lead community relations, fundraising, and annual campaigns; represent TSA in Montezuma County.
