Job summary

The Cortez Service Center Director at The Salvation Army leads operations for the Montezuma County Service Center, including thrift store and food pantry ministries, fundraising, and community outreach. Reports to the Divisional Headquarters and oversees staff, volunteers, and budget responsibilities.

The role requires strong leadership, grant management, and commitment to TSA’s mission, with a comprehensive benefits package for full-time exempt staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred; or minimum 3 years of progressive experience in human services/nonprofit management.
• Prior supervisory experience required and experience managing multi-function teams is preferred.
• Experience with grant writing, budget management, and financial reporting in nonprofit context (as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily operations of the Service Center, ensuring client assistance, staff activities, and thrift/food pantry operations align with TSA policies.
• Provide budget oversight, monitor financials, and submit monthly reports to DHQ.
• Coordinate fundraising activities, grant management, and community relations to support center mission.
• Supervise staff, interns, and volunteers; conduct performance reviews and HR processes.
• Represent TSA in Montezuma County to community partners, donors, and government agencies.
