Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines is hiring a Customer Service Administrator 1 to support Service Center operations in Columbus, GA. You will perform clerical tasks, assist with driver check-in and gate operations, and help balance cash and deposits.

The role requires basic computer skills, MS Office, and excellent customer relations. Shift is second, and pay ranges from the stated hourly wages depending on location and experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass background check and alcohol/drug test.
• 6 months of related or office experience preferred.
• Strong customer relations and communication with internal/external customers.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with interruptions.
• Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Prior experience with Customer Service, Outlook, Excel, and multi-line phone systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical duties to assist the Service Center operations.
• Use scanning equipment to load bills into the company system.
• Assist in driver check-in, gate office, cashier or receptionist tasks as needed.
• Balance daily cash, prepare deposits, and handle night deposits.
• Provide daily phone coverage by operating a switchboard.
• Greet visitors and direct them to appropriate areas of the building.
• Receive drivers at the gate and gather information on freight and driver names.
