IES Holdings is seeking a Technician II - Service in Irvine, CA to perform cabling and service tasks, respond to service calls, and ensure quality workmanship. The role involves installing outlets, building closets, wiring patch panels, and conducting continuity and fault testing on copper and fiber cabling.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least six years in telecommunications or related technical fields.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of six (6) years of experience in telecommunications or related technical field.
• Some knowledge of A/V installation and components preferred.
• Must be proficient with listed tools.
• Must have the skill to interpret blueprints and project documents.

Responsabilidades

• Install work area outlets for floor, modular furniture and walls; terminate CAT3 & CAT5 jacks and mount face plates.
• Build closets with backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optics; install grounding for racks and cables.
• Perform testing: continuity tests, volt-ohmmeter use; troubleshoot opens, shorts, and cross/transpose pairs.
• Identify active voice or data circuits and troubleshoot fiber and copper cabling.
• Complete required IES COMMERCIAL paperwork on time (timesheets, transfers, work orders, change orders).
• Adhere to quality and safety standards; perform other duties as assigned.
