Job summary

AOG Living in Houston, TX seeks a Maintenance Technician to prepare vacant apartments for move-in, perform repairs, and maintain common areas.

You will review the make-ready board, apply touch-up paint, handle plumbing/electrical tasks, and ensure compliance with safety and housing standards; own tools required.

Qualifications

• Must be skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, user moved aids, mechanical equipment and measuring devices.
• May be required to handle plumbing repairs, tile work, appliance repair, carpentry repairs, electrical repairs and all facets of apartment make ready.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical or other malfunctions and make repairs or correct problems.
• Must be able to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions and plans.
• Must supply own tools.

• Make all repairs/replacements necessary for unit to be occupied as outlined on the make-ready checklist.
• Apply touch-up and full-paints as needed to interior and exterior of apartment homes.
• Clean out all trash from apartment homes before, during and after make-ready activity.
• Inspect completed apartment homes and schedules any necessary follow-up work before designating the unit as “Ready”.

Required Education And Training

DEGREES AND DIPLOMAS

• Certifications as required by State and Local Jurisdictions.
