Core Group Resources is seeking a Make Ready Technician to prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents. You will perform repairs, maintenance tasks, and upgrades to ensure each unit meets quality, safety, and cleanliness standards before move-in.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, strong problem-solving skills, and reliable work practices. You will work with property management teams to complete units on schedule and uphold company standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of apartment maintenance or make-ready experience.
• General repair skills across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, drywall and carpentry.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid drivers license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete all make-ready activities for vacant units within deadlines.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs across multiple trades.
• Inspect units and identify maintenance deficiencies.
• Replace or repair fixtures, locks, doors, and hardware as needed.
• Prepare walls, paint interiors, and touch up as required.
• Install flooring, cabinetry, and other unit components.
• Communicate status and timelines with maintenance supervisors and property management.
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.

Job Summary

The Make Ready Technician prepares vacant apartment homes for new residents by completing repairs, maintenance tasks, and unit upgrades in a timely and professional manner. This role helps ensure each apartment meets company standards for quality, safety, and cleanliness prior to move-in. The ideal candidate brings apartment maintenance experience, strong general repair skills, and a commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities

• Complete all make-ready activities for vacant apartment units within established deadlines
• Perform general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and appliance repairs
• Inspect vacant units and identify maintenance deficiencies
• Replace or repair fixtures, locks, blinds, doors, and hardware as needed
• Prepare walls, paint interiors, and complete touch-up work to company standards
• Install and repair flooring, countertops, cabinetry, and other unit components
• Ensure all appliances are operational and in good condition
• Maintain clean and organized work areas throughout the property
• Assist with preventive maintenance and service requests when needed
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA guidelines
• Communicate effectively with maintenance supervisors and property management teams regarding unit status and completion timelines
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 1+ years of apartment maintenance, make-ready, construction, or related experience preferred
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, drywall, and carpentry repairs
• Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment safely
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
• EPA Certification is a plus but not required
