Associates are eligible to apply for a lateral transfer after completing one (1) year of service in their current position, with exceptions: an Associate with a written warning is not eligible for transfer/promotion until six (6) months from the warning date; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible until one (1) year from suspension. Part-time Associates who have completed their probationary period can move to full-time vacancies within their department, provided such movement does not unreasonably reduce departmental operational efficiency. The probationary period is three (3) months for full-time employees and four (4) months for part-time employees working more than 3/5 of the normal workweek. Probation does not apply to shift changes.
SERVICE ASSOCIATE JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
All Service Associates are expected to work as part of a team dedicated to delivering high-quality care and services to patients by supporting functions such as maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment; assisting with dietary aspects; facilitating communication (answering phones); transporting patients; and assisting visitors. The Service Associate plays a vital role in promoting patient-centered care within the Care Center.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical training preferred.
Effective written and oral English communication skills.
