Role Overview

As a Medical Benefit Review Services Associate for Regions 7 and 8, you will assist disadvantaged and disabled adults in accessing healthcare services to maintain independence and live at home. You will travel within the Louisiana parishes of Bossier, Caddo, Claiborne, Franklin, Jackson, Lincoln, Morehouse, Tensas, Union, and Webster.

Training Provided

• Perform in-home assessments for applicants and participants of long-term personal care services (LT-PCS).
• Offer choice counseling for Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS).
• Provide an overview of the Long-Term Care Program.
• Create Person-Centered Plans of Care based on individual needs.
• Complete client monitoring surveys for quality management.

Additional Support

• Assist with obtaining IHC Certification with the LA Department of Health and Hospitals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health and human services, social work, sociology, psychology, or related field.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Desire to work with the public.
• Louisiana residency and valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in health-related social or human services.
• Experience working with older adults or individuals with disabilities.
